Renunciation of Indian Citizenship & Surrender of Indian Passport

First and foremost, Congratulations on becoming an American citizen!  After acquiring U.S. Citizenship, all Indian nationals must surrender their Indian passport and obtain a certificate of renunciation from the Indian Consulate. 

This certificate is necessary even if you wish to obtain an OCI card or Indian visa on your new U.S. Passport.
